When my close friend Jaden Banze visited me during the July 4th weekend of 2024, we knew we had to try our hand at a golf course. We had started golfing together earlier in 2024 and had only visited the driving range in College Station, Texas. We started with a warm up at the Westchester Driving Range and made our way to the Maggie Hathaway Golf Course. This was a perfect first course as every hole was made to be par 3. It was really interesting to play a course and face the complexities of real-life golf, for example hitting a shot from the middle of a hill. Since the course was a par 3, we didn’t require gaining much distance. Overall, the course was great with amazing greens. The course was so fun we went back with my roommates, Tyler Chen and Alex Klein Wassink, to play scramble. Fun fact, Jaden made a hole-in-one at the course!
