chicken shawarma bowl

A good shawarma bowl is one of the most comforting foods to me. In Houston, Texas, there are a ton of chains and local places that offer their twist to the Mediterranean classic. This was a bit of a labor of love, but it was totally worth it. I saw an Instagram Reel that baked the chicken in a loaf pan for a closer taste to authentic shawarma. It was definitely fun to make, from the chicken, to the rice, and to the sauce.
