steak, potatoes, asparagus
quick and easy pick me up

After a busy day full of lectures, extracurriculars, and studying, I wanted to treat myself to a nice meal. I went to a Texan's favorite, H-E-B, and picked up a New York strip steak, potatoes, and asparagus. I seasoned the steak with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and seared it in a scorching cast iron. From there, I basted it with butter and garlic, and let it rest once it was done cooking. As I was doing that, I tossed the asparagus in some olive oil and basic seasonings and to the air fryer they went. For the potatoes, I waited until I took my steak off the pan, so I could let them crisp up and absorb the flavor.
